About Me ...

 

While originally from Dallas, TX, I have discovered that I'm meant to live by the beach in Ormond by the Sea, FL. It was always a bucket list item for me, so here I am living my dream! I'm filling my days with sunrises on the beach, running my own boutique art and decor shop called ARTique Local Art in Ormond Beach, occasionally offering home watching to fellow beachside residents via my "Beach Home Concierge" service and, of course, painting as a creative outlet.

 

I earned a B.A. in Advertising from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and I worked in the field as a Sr. Graphic Artist and then Lead Copy Editor for nine years. My next venture involved co-owning a successful art venue called ART is ART Gallery alongside my artist/designer mother from 2004 to 2018. Our gallery was awarded "Best Local Art in Dallas" and "Best Art Support in Dallas" by The Observer and The Voice publications. My original art was showcased along with numerous other local artists, and I was frequently one of the top three sellers. In addition, the commercial interior designer for Gables Properties purchased several of my paintings on multiple occasions that are now permanently installed in various Gables upscale apartment buildings throughout Dallas. I participated in Arts Incubator of Richardson, TX as well.

 

I'm thrilled to be a member of the Florida artist community now. My work is currently being showcased at ARTique Local Art & Accents in Ormond Beach. In the past, I also exhibited at High Tide Gallery in St. Augustine, Ocean Art Gallery in Ormond Beach, Ocean Breeze Interiors in St. Augustine and Lotus Gallery in Palm Coast.

 

My painting technique varies, and I most often work with acrylic paints in a fluid, abstract or whimsical style on gallery-wrapped canvases. The beach is such an inspiration to me now, and I enjoy using the colors and essence of the ocean in my creations.
